Our traditional family run Guest House is conveniently located centrally within the popular traditional seaside resort of Skegness. We cater for families and couples and offer good quality en-suite accommodation and decent breakfast right in the heart of skegness. At the Ivydene we have a range of rooms to accommodate single travellers, couples and families of three to five. All of our rooms are fully equipped with en-suite facilities and everybody gets a nice comfortable bed. We have free wi-fi for guests to use which is available in all rooms throughout our bed and breakfast.
Skegness is a traditional seaside resort, located on the east coast of the UK, in the county of Lincolnshire. The resort has many things to offer for the holiday maker, from toddlers to grandparents alike and has attracted tourists for over a hundred years. The seafront is packed with exciting attractions, the busy town centre is a must for the keen shopper and the numerous restaurants, bars and clubs make going out in Skegness a memorable experience. The golden sandy beach in Skegness is the ideal place to spend a fun family holiday or perfect for a pleasant stroll.
If you know Skegness quite well this diagram shows you where the Ivydene is from the clock tower. Both the coach and train stations are on Richmond Drive. Cross over Richmond Drive, turn right and walk to the next junction. At the the traffic lights turn left into Sandbeck Avenue, and follow this road to the other end. You should now see The Ivydene Hotel straight in front of you. Follow the A158 as far as you can go until you get to the mini roundabout opposite the Suncastle pub on the sea front (North parade).
We have a small private car park at the rear of the building. When the car park is full, on-street parking is availble all day and night with no time resrictions within 30 metres of the building on Drummond Road. At night the restrictions on Serena Road at the side of the building are lifted from 8pm until 10am the following morning giving us extra parking over night. In order to provide a fair service to all of our guests, we operate our car park on a first come first served basis, therefore parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance.
To the rear of the building we have a free private car park. Spaces are limited so parking is offered on a first come, first served basis. Alternative free parking is available at various places on road, not too far away from the building. The parking bays opposite the front of the building on Drummond Road are not subject to time restrictions and can be used freely by our customers. Extra spaces are available overnight close to the building. Blue badge permit holders are able to park near to the buiding during the daytime.
Looking for great nightlife - Skegness is the place to be. With so many great venues, you will be spoilt for choice. The seafront offers a wide choice of entertainment for all ages: an exciting clubbing scene, great fun pubs, marvellous restaurants, numerous food outlets and venues offering family entertainment. The Marine Boathouse Pub is just 300m from the Ivydene Hotel and offers a great daily menu and exciting nightly entertainment. If it's a night out on the town clubbing, a nice meal washed down with a few beers or just a quiet game of bingo, or a wander around the many arcades and local attractions; Skeggy has all the answers.
