Patten Arms - Warrington
In the early 16th century the Patten family, whom the hotel gets its name from purchased the entire Winnmarleigh estate. The family was noted for their contribution to the development of Warrington and also for their involvement in the Industrial Revolution in the North. For instance they were responsible for making the River Mersey more accessible and for establishing vital transport connections to promote trade within the area.
