The Cassidy family moved to Aviemore to enjoy the local scenery, nature and great outdoors and are on hand to give local tips and impart their favourite walks, historical sites and local information. Here to help you in planning your stay with us are some answers to most frequently asked questions. To book a room here at the hotel we ask for a credit or debit card guarantee to secure the booking. In the unfortunate event that it is necessary to cancel your reservation, our terms and conditions for direct bookings are 50% of the full cost will be charged for any cancellations between seven and one days prior to arrival. Any cancellations of 24 hours or less will be subject to the full cost of the booking.

The Rowan Tree Country Hotel is a small hotel located in Aviemore, The Highlands of Scotland. This is a relaxed & casual affair, served between 6pm to 8.30pm each evening. Our chef Calum Cousins, has won various competitions including a bronze medal in Scothot senior Chef of the Year. His superb menu offers the very best Scottish dining in the area, with an excellent range of dishes, some based on more traditional fare, others on new & interesting recipes. Please note that should you wish to dine with us during your stay, it would be most helpful if you could make your table reservations with us on booking, or prior to arrival.

It is home to four of the five highest mountains in UK. With a total of 55 Munros - which are mountains above 914m in height - it is a walker's paradise and a Munro Baggers dream! The Speyside Way can be accessed from the hotel and you can walk all the way to the coast or take the Badenoch Way to Kingussie. You can choose the length of your walk; however, the path is easy terrain and also suitable for cycling. Also, from the hotel you can access the East Highland Way and walk all the way to Fort William!
