Score Valley Country House offers the personal service of a guest house with the tranquillity, space and comfort of a Georgian Manor House. It is set in one and a half acres of quiet and peaceful woodland and is the home of your hosts, married couple, Donna and Paul. This splendid 18th century residence holds pride of place with commanding views over this secluded unspoiled valley, which has hardly changed over the years. The narrow lane leading to the circular drive ensures that the front of Score Valley Country House has remained one of Ilfracombe's best kept secrets.
Dogs are very welcome and the 1.5 acres of woodland, meadows, streams & lawns are ideal for exploring. You don't even have to leave the grounds for that morning walk. We don't have dogs in Rooms 6 & 8 - as we keep some dog free rooms for people with allergies.
High ceilinged small double room. This room has a small double bed (4′), for added comfort for a single guest, but room for 2. A large high ceilinged room with en suite shower room. Located at the side of the guest house this is a sunny room with spectacular views across the valley accompanied by the gentle sound of East Wilder Brook meandering through the grounds, and you can enjoy watching the buzzards gliding high above the trees.
The North Devon Motorcycle Action group hold this popular event which is staged along the front near the Landmark Theatre, at the bottom of Capstone. Motorcyclists travel from near and far. Some local, some from as far as Coventry. See one of the highlights of Ilfracombe's summer events calendar - the Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club Regatta. Wander down to the harbour where you can watch the racing in action and cheer on all the rowers. The race starts at 11am. Check-in opens at 9.30am. Online registration closes at midnight on Friday 15th of May 2020, If you would still like to take part after online registration closes, registration can be completed on the beach between 9:30 and 10:45.
