Guests coming from further afield can take advantage of the accommodation we have here at the King Charles Hotel, which can be included in our delegate packages for meetings, or at special rates if you are attending a function at the hotel. Ideally situated in the heart of the Medway town of Gillingham, close to the M2, M20 and M25 motorways as well as other transport links like Ebbsfleet or Ashford International Railway Stations, the King Charles Hotel is an ideal choice for both local and national businesses.

With an excellent menu featuring both British and inter continental cuisine meticulously prepared by our team of chefs, who proactively source local produce, we're able to bring you the very best of what the locality has to offer. The Lounge Bar serves an excellent range of beers, wines and spirits as well as offering a selection of freshly cooked meals and bar snacks. It's perfect for both guests and non-residents, for business meetings or any social occasion. The Lounge bar is a great venue to meet with friends for a quick coffee and a catch up, or to make the most of any sporting occasion with our screens featuring both Sky Sports and BT Sport.

Costing 150,000, it was opened by the Commander-in-Chief, The Nore, Admiral Sir Harold Burrough, compromising of 200 single, and 48 double rooms, a nursery and playroom, games room, restaurant, tavern bar, 3 flats and, one of the finest ballrooms in the country. Moreover, our royal association doesn't start and end with the hotel's name, one of our very first visitors was King George VI! After a few attempts to bring the building back to life in various guises, it was finally taken over by the family in 1980 and we are the very same family that run The King Charles Hotel today.
