The Old Rectory is a marvellous place to take it easy and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the surrounding Coniston Fells and the National Park. Our house, built in 1868 for the Reverend Thomas Ellwood, nestles in three acres of gardens and woodland in the midst of rolling farmland, beneath the majestic peaks of Coniston Old Man and close to the tranquil shores of Coniston Water.
