Sunday Roast
Our traditional Sunday Roast service includes 2 or 3 course options with carved meats and seasonal accompaniments. Available throughout December with special festive variations, this service combines hearty portions with the warmth of our log-fire setting for a classic British dining experience.
Wedding Venue
We provide comprehensive wedding services including ceremony spaces, reception venues, and guest accommodation. Our dedicated function room and glasshouse cater for up to 120 guests with bespoke arrangements available. Packages include menu customisation and overnight stays for wedding parties.
Accommodation
Our 12 en-suite bedrooms include deluxe suites with living areas, family rooms, and standard doubles. All rooms feature tea/coffee making facilities and modern amenities while maintaining traditional decor that reflects our countryside setting.
Christmas Specials
From November to December, we offer special Christmas menus including 2 and 3 course options. Our festive events feature live entertainment, carvery meals, and themed afternoon teas. Booking in advance is recommended for Christmas Day and New Year celebrations.

Been here 3 times now in the last year or so. Never had a bad meal or experience. Food has always been very good and cannot complain over the size of the portions. Good range of dishes on the menu plus the daily specials. On my most recent visit I ordered the sirloin steak. Asked for mine rare. Initial impression on the first taste was it was slightly overcooked but, as I cut into the steak, it just got tastier and tastier.
I would certainly recommend the Calf's Head. My only minor complaint on this visit was not one member of staff came over to check or ask if everything was alright. What made it worse was we saw staff going to other tables to do this. So a minor quibble but this didn't detract from the quality of the meal.

Really cozy, the staff here were all really friendly and helpful and the room had probably the best shower I've ever had. The only downside was the heating was on full blast all day and night so it was absolutely boiling; that being said, we would definitely consider coming back again.

Lovely food but such an increase in prices. Loved the lasagne. I had a side salad too, but 3.80 for a small side salad is crazy! The dining area is now beautifully modern and attractive
