I stayed at the Castleton for 7 nights. The area has the largest concentration of hotels that I've ever seen, so it was hard to choose a hotel. I felt the Castleon was fairly priced for its location and amenities offered. The rooms are tiny. Tiny, tiny. The building has been retrofitted from a series of conjoined townhomes, so in order to add a toilet & shower in each room, the floor space is greatly reduced.
My room had a small wall mounted tv (with a lot of channels), an AC and a hot water heater. That's about all that fits in the room besides the bed. But again, the price is fair. The staff are very friendly. The internet was super slow. I had trouble playing Facebook videos, much less trying to stream Netflix. I told the staff and hopefully they do something about that. The elevator was out of service for my entire stay but I was on the 1st floor, so that didn't bother me. The location is great. Just 3 minutes from Paddington station. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. There's a Hop on Hop off bus stop 1 block away which people seemed to constantly queue for.

Great location, near Paddington Station. The staff were professional but far from friendly. The quality of this hotel is so bad that they have a clear disclaimer on the registration desk that they can refuse service for rude of violent guests. This is likely from frequent complaints. The room was tiny and filthy. The bed, not a proper double, was pushed against a wall where there were clearly visible drips of some sort that had run down the wall. The hallways reaked of bug spray. The incredibly small bathroom had a notice that the water was not fit to drink. No hand soap or any toiletries, only a shower gel dispenser in the tiny shower.

The room is good, it's well maintained and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It got a split unit type heater which is nice in winter. The location is prime. Only disadvantage is that my room was on the ground floor and i was annoyed hearing every person walking on that side of the street and hearing them drag their bags and trolleys.

The place is decently clean but awfully small. Rooms in Japan are generally small but this is at least 1/4 smaller. They have free WiFi with strong signal in the room but the speed is comparable to the old cable modem. They provide paid breakfast if you decide not to walk next door for a hearty English breakfast.

Great location. Courteous staff. Overpriced with very basic facilities with uncomfortable bed. After checking out early we had to run few errands so had to leave baggage at the reception. The receptionist charged 1 per bag to hold the baggage. Have never experienced this ever.
