The George of Stamford is a privately owned hotel which has an incredibly well deserved reputation. The hotel's restaurants offer excellent choices of dining - from a drink to cream tea or bar snacks, right through to the more formal. This is an amazing building which is full of nooks and crannies, a maze of rooms in which to find peace or the buzz of contented guests. We are extremely proud of our staff who endeavor to make everyone welcome and comfortable, and are knowledgeable and helpful.

We pride ourselves on our 'ground floor' - restaurants, bars, lounges - log fires, squishy enveloping sofas, places in which everyone is made welcome and comfortable and received by attentive and personable staff.
