After reading the reviews, my family and I were sceptical about heading down for something to eat. To anyone considering dining at Kildonan Hotel, I'd advise you to disregard whatever you read on here and go to experience it for yourself. The building is not run down it's lovely, the staff were so unbelievably friendly, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely. We will 100% be dining there again.

8 for a pint of beer and a coffee. The hotel looks and feels abit run down and it was cold - I imagine it has been a lovely hotel. The views are stunning.

Lovely hotel it was just such a shame that is was a reduced menu due to covid when we visited and meals came in takeaway boxes. But that being said food was still very good

Over priced food 12.50 for some oven chips and greasy fish which was tasteless. Beer ok, staff ok. Food not the best and track and trace non existant.

Very disappointed, room was very tired with cracked and broken floor tiling. The bathroom superficially clean but on closer inspection shower head filthy, extractor not working, shower door bottom seal missing. The staff are friendly and hard working. The bar and restaurant have the same menu which is very limited and the presentation poor. The bar is well stocked and popular with both locals and visitors unfortunately at weekends the locals can be pretty foul-mouthed which the owners need to get a grip of.
