Basic hotel rooms beyond public areas. My bathroom smells of mould. Could live with this if service is OK. However. manager suggested to me that I avoid the rush for evening meal as the hotel is unusually busy due to influx of workers for biomass plant but not to worry, he's on duty and he would look after me. Came down at 20:35 to be told by the same manager the kitchen is closed. He then proceeded to tell me how this was my fault, without apology or even acknowledgement he could have made the error. His solution: get a takeaway. Shame as the location is convenient for road networks.

The hotel is a character property with a relatively modern extension to rear of the building. The car park is an ample size and free for patrons. Rooms appear to be mainly situated on the first floor, with stair only access. The room was styled in a similar way to a budget chain hotel. The room itself was quiet, clean and comfortable. There is a modern restaurant and bar on the ground serving lovely food. All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful.
