Exclusive Scottish Event Venue in Royal Deeside
Raemoir House stands as a historic Scottish venue with nearly five centuries of hospitality heritage. Established in 1534 when King James V granted lands to a local farmer, the property evolved from a private residence to a wartime respite home and hotel before being transformed in 2017 by owners Neil and Julie Rae into an exclusive-use estate. The 1815 classical country house, designed by architect John Smith, retains original architectural details while offering modern amenities including 12 en-suite bedrooms in the main house and four additional rooms in the 1690 Ha' Hoose. Guests benefit from dedicated staff including Master Chef Robert Ramsay, who crafts menus using local Aberdeenshire produce. The venue combines historical significance with contemporary luxury, featuring 15 acres of secluded grounds, a glass-walled marquee for 150 guests, and five distinct public rooms. Its location in Royal Deeside provides access to Scotland's cultural and natural attractions while maintaining privacy for events. The property's Listed Building status ensures preservation of its architectural integrity, with recent renovations including a 2016 staircase restoration and 2021 bar area enhancements. Sustainability efforts focus on maintaining original features while adapting spaces for modern use, such as converting the staff dance room into basement toilet facilities. The estate welcomes pets and offers tailored experiences ranging from corporate retreats to weddings, supported by exclusive-use flexibility and on-site helicopter access.

I don't know where to start, but this was the best experience of my 42yrs on earth. I just got married last week at the Raemoir House and it was the absolute best experience of my life. The staff (Mihaela, Petra, Alex, and all those whose names that I didn't get) were absolutely incredible. The owners, Neil and Julie Rae are two of the best people on earth. They couldn't be any more accommodating and gracious.
They put the guests first and ensure that you have the most amazing and unique experience ever. I've been to 1000s of Hotels/Stays/AirBnBs in my lifetime and I could honestly say that there wasn't one that compares to the treatment that you get at Raemoir House. The atmosphere of the house and land surrounding it are breathtaking. We will be back. Thanks again for everything!

Beautiful hotel / "exclusive venue" it's a shame the owner is the rudest person I've ever encountered in hospitality. Update: The owner does love to dismiss critique by questioning validity. So to reply the timescale of my review is irrelevant. My wedding was at Raemoir and I, along with many of my guests experienced the owners disgusting behaviour. Accountability, honesty and grace are beyond him. You only need to look at his responses to even the most minor of criticism to see hospitality is not his forte
