A lovely hotel with friendly staff, great food, and a cosy atmosphere. We were staying for two nights while we fished and couldn't have felt more welcomed by Mike and staff. The fishing was excellent with numerous chub and barbel caught, although it's best to stay mobile and find the fish! Thanks Red Lion!

Very disappointed with the food. The gammon seemed boild rather than fried, linguini had no flavour and had no cheese added at all. The sea bass was dry and over cooked.

A very pleasant lunch, and good value - 6 for a good kids' portion including ice cream. My ham, egg and chips was delicious.
