Brilliant location, walkable into Soho, Hyde Park and down to St James. A few minutes stroll to Selfridges and some decent shopping options nearby. Boutique vibe, friendly staff, old world feel. Would return and highly recommend.

Excellent hotel with great personal service. Relatively old fashioned (in a good way) but in great upkeep and a pleasure to stay at.

The hotel is dark and gloomy. The staff are very rude and look at you as if you can't afford the hotel. when in all fairness, the first room we went to had a strong stench of paint it was overpowering and we had to ask for another room. there were holes in the wardrobe leading to the ceiling and the beds were ripped. The second room. the shower/bath was disgusting. mouldy! Even then toilet seat was unclean, it had urine stains.

The window opened all the way and we were on the top floor, this is a health and safety requirement that all windows should only open to a certain point. This was not the case. The plugs were not pat tested therefore this is illegal and unsafe practice. We immediately were so unhappy and felt as though we really did not want to stay there. Upon asking for a refund they said they could not process one.

We immediately called booking.com and asked for a refund because we wanted to leave the property and go elsewhere. it is really not what it shows in the photos, avoid this place at all costs it's truly not worth the money!

The porter and reception staff are very rude. I am a London Black Cab Driver, I was dropping off a customer from Heathrow, and on dropping off the customer another came out from the hotel requesting a cab, he asked me to wait until his friend comes down. I went in to the hotel to use the toilets, I explained to the porter that I was a cab driver and showed him my badge, he would not let me use the facilities.

As a London can driver I have never been refused any hotels facilities to this date apart from durrants. After a short while I was desperate and requested to the receptionist if I could use the toilets, she again refused and reffered me to the porter. I will not be recommending this hotel for customers or friends and family.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. The friendly barman, the breakfast staff, the concierge staff all made our family 2 night stay so memorable. And the location is so handy too.

We booked here after receiving a same day cancellation for a place in Camden Town. The Durrants is a lovely hotel and in a really nice part of London. Rooms were comfortable with good air con/bathroom facilities. Service from the porters was also really good. Look forward to revisiting.

Charming hotel. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch at dinner time. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely. It was quiet on Sunday with only 4 covers. The meal was enjoyable but marred by a few let downs. The roast potatoes did not feel fresh but rather microwaved. The vegetables are fresh but could have benefited from 2 more minutes of steaming. The Yorkshire pudding was definitely prepared ages ago as it was dry and unappealing. Thankfully the beef was very nice and the accompanying horseradish sauce was gorgeous. Based on the picture attached, I would recommend a sharper carving knife! Would have the Sunday Lunch but I think perhaps at lunch when everything has just been prepped.
