We stopped here for lunch on a recent visit to Lyme Regis for the day, unfortunately it has to be said our day was blighted by the staff and quality of food, on arrival the staff were not very welcoming and almost ignorant, I really felt like we had inconvenienced them. But we ordered anyway, but what was served was extremely poor quality, we spoke to the bar staff who firstly sad it was a new chef, but said to speak to the duty manager, he's attitude was pretty much he didn't care as we had eaten some of it, but nearly every plate was still half full, and apparently it's not a new chef "make your minds up ", the duty manager made no attempt to apologise or offer anything in way of even a partial refund, instead just disappearing saying he would talk to the chef, we waited, but he obviously decided coming back and apologising wasn't part of he's job

This place has gone down hill use to be lovely for food and drinks. Bar staff haven't a clue didn't have a wine menu and couldn't help in anyway. Served my wine in a gin glass! Could here young barman moaning and swearing no attempt to be discreet. Another couple had food no cutlery had to take from another table. Didn't eat here like watching 'Keystone Cops!'. The management need to train there staff and perhaps waiters not to wear jeans.

A really lovely weekend spent in this great hotel. Brilliant location, lovely room, fantastic breakfasts & very friendly helpful staff. A dip in the pool made a lovely addition to the stay. Look forward to returning!

Strange little place, looks like it probably used to be really nice but seems run down and very tired. Didn't have lime for my Rum & Coke and was equally difficult to find a staff member or the toilets. We did only go in for drinks mind you (Tuesday eve in January)

Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location, right by the sea! We stayed in a lovely room with a view of the sea, which had a nice bathroom with a hot powerful shower.very refreshing after long walks along the beach! We also ate in the restaurant, which was fantastic! The food was amazing! The hotel also has a separate bar with a gorgeous log fire! The staff are brilliant, always willing to help! We cannot recommend the hotel more highly and we certainly will be staying again!
