Had the lunch menu. Risotto was delicious, good level of spice and flavour. Steak was ok, a bit overdone for my liking, chips were amazing. House white was good, I asked for a cab sauv and got a standard sauv

Very friendly and welcoming hotel. We had a birthday afternoon tea in the lounge area of this dog friendly hotel. Sandwiches, cakes etc with refills available on request.

Wow, what an experience! I hosted my birthday at The Verbena Spa and from start to finish our day was perfect. From the facilities to the outstanding service, this place has it all. Alice went out of her way to go above and beyond for us, so polite and kind and an asset to the spa. Beautiful treatments, beautiful food and the spa is very well kept, I am already planning my next visit. Thank you for helping us host a perfect day.

If you're looking for luxury, then look no further! The staff in the hotel and the spa are wonderful. The surroundings are out of this world, the treatments in the spa are divine, and the food, well, it's phenomenal! We will be back, and thank you for our little newly wed touch in our room. Luxurious, clean and relaxing! The staff were all extremely professional and friendly. I can't recommend this hotel enough! The local town is also fantastic and there's plenty of things to do around the hotel.

Had a great short stay for my birthday (a big one!). The spa facilities and treatment were excellent- warmed us up nicely on a very cold January day. The evening meal and breakfast were first class. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a big room, lovely and airy. However, fixtures and fittings in the room were very tired - definitely in need of refurbishment

Great place for sharing time with others as you have to book the pool and other activities for your group no one else allowed into pool in your alloted time. Breakfast eggs need improving, poached egg hard.
