Had an impromptu lunch here on our way somewhere else. Food was cooked to order and was plentiful. Staff very helpful and polite. Highly Recommend for couples and families. beautiful grounds Told us about the hotel and showed us around as we want to stay on our next visit

Popped in after a very long walk. Sign out from said dogs and boots welcome. Strange reception. Asked for food but said they were "full" 20 mins later said chef said it was ok. Left instead

Staff are very welcoming & friendly, lovely bar area, if you like it nice and quiet it's perfect, if you want it noisier, you want the black bull, the angel or the anchor, we like both noisy and quiet

Delightful hotel, we went for a Sunday dinner. We weren't disappointed! Absolutely delicious homecooked chicken dinner, generous portions and a great selection of veg. All with friendly, cheerful service by the side of a roaring log fire. Will definitely be back!

Walked here from the ain Street in Wooler heard they had a tapas menu Good value for money at 13.95 for 3 tapas Lovely open fire on drinks are a decent price
