Our historic property dates from the early seventeenth century, originally known as McClellands Inn and later the Loudoun Arms Hotel. We have completely refurbished the interior behind the original sandstone facade to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Our meal was superb, we were there today the 12th June, the girls who were working the restaurant were superb, they are a credit to the Fairburn, well done to them, will definitely be back in the very near future would highly recommend this establishment.

Used an itison voucher and had a lovely two course meal at the Fairburn. Food was great (tomato and red pepper soup was outstanding), lovely interior and very friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Went here for Sunday lunch for 3. We hadn't booked but we got a table without a problem. The roast dinner was nice with crisp fresh vegetables but the roast beef tasted like it was bought ready cooked and sliced and then reheated. Generous portions though so we didn't need a pudding.

It's a lovely wee place and dog friendly too. Service was a bit slow, but ones they got to us they were on the ball. The food was amazing and we'll worth the wait. Stafe friendly approach able produced knowledge was on point. I had the burns burger never anything like. When I go back I will be ordering that burger again and I would highly recommend it.

Great food, great service! Amazing gluten free options x so good I forgot to take a photo of my halloumi fries starter before I ate it! The servers were run off their feet but were still friendly and fantastic.

Another lovely stay! We had a lovely room - Rabbie Burns! Slight disappointment was that there was no tomato juice available to make us Bloody Mary's. Co-op across the road selling it at 1. They could have made a great profit if they had bought 1.

We have just stayed 2 nights at the Fairburn Hotel. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and that continued through our stay, the staff are a credit to the hotel they're hard working, attentive, polite, enthusiastic and welcoming. We had all we needed warm comfortable room, comfy bed, good bath plenty hot water and after a full day out it was very welcoming.lol. the food in the restaurant is amazing first class always hot and well presented and delicious. Fantastic breakfast and choices on the menu. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work guys.

Had a fantastic day and stay here with friends. Rooms are lovely and the food was fantastic. So much so we ate all the desserts on offer. Yummy. Staff are very welcoming and friendly . The 4 of us had a blast. Would definitely recommend.

Dropped in during an impromptu drive through East Ayrshire. The restaurant is a must for any foodies. The seabass with scallops and accompanying veg were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband's steak pie was flavoursome and filling. The menu gave information on their locally sourced produce. Children are also catered for well. Their dishes arrived with a paper plane toy. A nice touch! A real hidden gem. Will definitely be back.

Went to the Fairburn Hotel for the Sunday Lunch and was not disappointed. I had the chicken and rice soup to start followed by the Roast Beef with all the trimmings, everything freshly made, no shortcuts.it was delicious! Planning a return visit to try out the cocktails next.would definitely recommend.

Staff were very friendly, food was really really good and fantastic value, brought the kids with us and they were spoiled with colourings and a surprise toy with their kids meals! Will definetley be back and will recommend to all of our friends! Well done Fairburn!
