We have just installed a Stannah stair lift for the benefit of guests who have a little difficulty with stairs. This new addition means that you can now enter at street level, book a single, double or superior double room on the ground floor and use the stair lift to reach the dining room for breakfast. In the evening you can use it to reach the bar for a social drink with fellow guests.Your entire stay without having to encounter a single step. If the stair lift will be useful for you please let us know when booking so that we can ensure we find you a room on the ground floor.

They decided it was time for a change. What a big decision that was. Having given up two normal jobs and taken the plunge, we absolutely love it. What a great result. Our standard double rooms are ideal for couples or singles wanting a bit more space. They contain one standard double bed and have plenty of room for two and are an idea base to return to after a busy day sightseeing. All standard double rooms are en-suite and have a hair dryer, 19 flat screen TV, free wifi, USB charging points, personal safe and tea tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Our superior rooms are superb, they are big spacious rooms with two comfortable chairs to relax on.

Our location is one of our best features. We have the international Conference & Leisure Centre just over the road and right beside that is Torre Abbey with its 800 year history. A stroll through the Abbey will take you to Princess gardens and on to the sea front and the main beach, from there it's about a 10 minute walk to the harbour and town centre.

The Glendower is ideally situated for delegates and those attending the Riviera Conference Centre which is less than 300m away. We are one of the closest B&B's to the Conference Centre in Torquay. We provide (free of charge) high speed WIFI internet throughout the building so staying in touch is not a problem.
