The Allanton Inn and staff are absolutely incredible. We arrived late on the Friday evening and received such a warm welcome. The rooms were gorgeous and clean. The food was amazing, so much better than I was expecting. For lunch I had duck leg, watermelon and feta salad.so good! All really good value for money as well. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It really is wonderful.

Was pleased we booked a table, otherwise we'd not have been eating here! Excellent quality food, locally sourced where possible and very tasty. Nice selection on menu; our party of 4 all opted for fish or meat based mains. Haddock particularly good. Portion sizes generous. None of us had room for dessert, but 3 had one anyway! Wine/ale selection great too. Would highly recommend and would suggest booking ahead.

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind. I (first-time solo traveler) bumbled my way through every part of my visit from arrival to departure, and they were never anything other than warm and accommodating! Dinner was lovely as well -- get dessert! And the complimentary breakfast options were really above and beyond. Highly recommend.
