The Edge is a wide red sandstone escarpment situated above the village of Alderley. Surrounded in tales of witches and wizardry, The Edge is a National Trust site with incredible views over the Cheshire and Derbyshire plains. It's the perfect place to talk a long walk and blow the cobwebs away. The Jodrell Bank Observatory is a British observatory that hosts a number of radio telescopes. The observatory was established in 1945 by Sir Bernard Lovell, a radio astronomer at the University of Manchester.
