Your Highland Haven on Scotlands North West Coast
Eddrachilles Hotel, nestled on Scotlands North West coast near Scourie, was acquired by Richard and Fiona in Spring 2016. Since then, the couple has meticulously transformed this historic former parish manse into a tranquil haven, reflecting their own preferences for peaceful retreats. The property boasts breathtaking sea views over Badcall Bay, with interiors showcasing original stone walls and flagstone floors. Our team prioritises locally sourced Scottish ingredients to craft exceptional dining experiences at The Glebe Kitchen, which has earned recognition including the Small Romantic Destination 2025 award.

Guests consistently highlight the serenity of our setting, the quality of our cuisine, and the warm hospitality extended throughout their stay. Located along the North Coast 500 route, we offer easy access to outdoor pursuits such as birdwatching, boat trips, and fishing. Step-free access ensures comfort for all visitors, while designated dog-friendly rooms accommodate well-behaved pets. With limited availability due to our remote location, we strongly recommend advance reservations for both accommodation and dining.

We stayed for one night whilst touring the NC500 (plus a bit extra). Of all the hotels we stayed at (including the Three Chimneys on Skye) this was the best combination of character, food, wine and cost by a country mile. The room wasn't huge, but it was big enough and really comfortable, the afternoon tea was a real treat, dinner was superb (pro tip - look at the bin ends list. We had the best bottle of the holiday for over 100 less than the next best bottle - it was about 25 for a premier cru Burgundy, which is delightfully nuts nowadays) and the take away apple-and-chocolate-biscuit box for walking fuel on departure sums up this little place's detailed approach to guests enjoying their stay. The team deserve every success, we couldn't recommend it more highly!

Excellent hotel with amazing views over the bay. Food excellent and friendly staff. Small touches such as snack boxes and complimentary afternoon tea are added treats. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stop over on our NC500 trip, we were welcomed with a lovely home made cream tea. The room over looking the loch was well equipped and comfortable. Both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. We were sent on our way with good advice for our onward trip, and a snack box.

A five star staff with five star setting and five star food. And did I mention that they like dogs? There's attention to detail: towels to wipe a dog's feet as you enter, complimentary scones, the interesting selection of books and ornaments. There's the attention staff give you, checking how your day has been, checking that everything is there that you need. There's the food - heaven - where did they find that cook? But all this in the best of Sutherland settings. There're the wind chimes sounding across the well kept grounds as you look across the bay. There's the superb range of whisky.

We stayed here half way through our NC 500 camping trip for a break. Perfect place, lovely stay. We had forgotten they offer complimentary cream tea in the afternoon so that was a lovely surprise. We had a beautiful dinner too. They are well equipped for dogs and have a lovely little garden to walk around. Breakfast was also lovely. As you would expect rooms were clean beds were comfy, no complaints at all.staff were very friendly. If we find ourselves up on the North Coast again im sure we would stay. Thank you for a lovely stay.
