A lovely 18th Century cottage set in the countryside with a nice garden view from our room. The room was large and very clean with a big shower cubicle. The King sized bed was comfortable. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits were well stocked up every day. The breakfast was very big and included Martin's special recipe mushrooms. We had 3 evening dinners which were very tasty and well worth the money. The dining area was in the conservatory which overlooked the large well kept garden. The hotel was 2 miles outside of Looe and we caught a bus right outside the hotel into Looe on the hourly bus service. The owners and staff were very friendly.

This was our second multiple night stay at Polraen and it was every bit as good as the first. A wonderful place to stay. Within easy reach of most of our favourite spots but secluded enough for quiet, restful, nights. The welcoming atmosphere, good food, clean comfortable rooms, and great location all combine to make this one of the places where we feel we would always like to return. Gill and Martin have created something very special here, we have recommended it to our friends.
