Nice hotel, there was some noise and sound transfer in the room from the structure and other rooms. This did not detract from our ability to sleep or enjoy the space. The computer check in was nice and convenient

Cafe by Neptune's Staircase was a welcome pitstop. Good range of coffee and selection of cakes and scones. Meals available for lunchtime. Views of the canal. Wheelchair access and decent spacing between tables.

If you want to wait for an eternity just for a drink then this is the place to be! The barman or manager not sure what his role was asked us what we wanted then told us we'd have to wait, walked off then just didn't come back to the bar, kept walking by and rushing about and continued to ignore us, we just left in the end. You lost out on six paying customers who would have probably had 3 to 4 pints each, do the math.
Absolute shambles of an establishment! We went on the first day we arrived in the area and we waited ages for any kind of service, we thought it was maybe just a bad day but no the second visit I'm referring to above was infinitely worse! I wouldn't care the place was empty on both occasions!

The hotel is shown on their website as new and high quality, sadly our rooms were in the 'older' and rather worn part. Main issue was that they just were not clean, indeed, both bathrooms were filthy. There are hotels with much higher standards in fort William.

We loved everything about this hotel. Definitely one to return to. Peaceful surroundings. Huge comfortable beds, friendly staff and great food.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, food excellent, nice bistro where you could enjoy a cup of tea and a cake. Our room was great looking out over the canal and Ben Nevis only comment is that the housekeeping did not make the bed or replenish refreshments during our two day stay. Would stay again.
