Great location, easy walk into the town centre. Free parking on the street, very clean large room. Amazing eggs, sausage, and bacon at breakfast plus a good continental selection to choose from. Lovely helpful hosts, many thanks! We would highly recommend The Old Manse - nothing was too much trouble for Lis and Neale it was so relaxing, breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
The Area
Report
We are Neale ad Lis and we own The Old Manse Guesthouse in Buxton. We wanted to give you an introduction about ourselves. Nayvee isn't allowed in any of the public areas but many guests do ask to meet him, and he loves to come and say hello when he's allowed to. The gorgeous town of Buxton seemed the perfect place for our new life in hospitality as it is so close to the many attractions that the Peak District has to offer. Our aim has been to offer a bespoke, modern, and friendly service for our customers.
Days out

On a bright summer's day in July, on a rare morning with a few hours to spare we chose to visit Thornbridge Hall & gardens at Ashford in the Water (2 miles from Bakewell town centre), a place we drive past regularly on our way to collect some of our locally sourced breakfast produce. When you visit Crich Tramway Village you can be transported back in time on their wonderful vintage trams or soak up the atmosphere that harks back to a different era with a visit to the shops and enjoy the tea rooms and pub - all on site.
