My first visit at Public Rooftop was absolutely amazing! My girlfriends and I enjoyed our drinks with a beautiful view of the city skyline! Chris H also made our visit very hospitable which persuaded us to come back again. Today on our second visit, we were charged an $150 mandatory bar tab in order to get in which was not the case during our first visit. This didn't sit right with us and I'm not too sure if this is a regular thing on a Friday. But overall Public Rooftop is beautiful and the bar staff is amazing. Thank you Chris H for providing us with an amazing comfortable experience!

Don't get scammed by the bouncer of the rooftop bar at Public. He told my friend and I we had to open a $100 tab to get in even though we were going to another friend's reserved portion of the bar for a birthday event with open bar. Knew exactly what he was doing. Will never return and will dissuade anyone from going here in the future. Drinks way overpriced and food too salty to even taste.

Amazing hotel! Rooms are super comfortable and modern and the restaurant is best you can get! Staff are all polite and approachable and I really like the door man from the roof! Super Nice and professional. I could speak several different languages and always had a lot paciente with the guest! And what about that roof top! Amazing views of the city. Simple breathtaking!

We loved our weeks stay at Public NYC. Now we list it as our favorite hotel. Everything five star. Love the employees - all friendly and helpful. We are senior citizens and enjoyed the vibrancy of the employees. Our son has stayed several times and arranged this for us. Seriously? A garden in the middle of the lower east side. Lovely! Hope that we will be able to do another visit.

My girlfriend and I spent two of the most memorable nights we've ever had here at Public. From entering through the beautiful, relaxing garden entryway and up the neon light escalator toward our check-in kiosk, I knew I chose the right place for my girlfriend's birthday celebration. Little did she know that this is where I would also propose to her that same night on their picturesque rooftop bar overlooking the city, surrounded by her favorite flowers, pink hydrangeas. Jessica helped make this night even more perfect by kindly upgrading our room for a better view of the city, from our floor to ceiling window, with automatic shades that slide up upon your arrival.

The next morning, we enjoyed a breakfast on the ground level at the hotel restaurant, Popular. This also had a nice garden-style setting, similar to the entry and the rooftop, and had the best pastries you could dream of, brought over from local and top bakery in NYC, Bahlthazar. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to our amazing trip to NYC. Thank you Public.

Honestly a joke. 650 a night for ten smallest rooms. Had my whole crew stay here for a NY production and everyone hated it. Made me look Bad for booking it. Had a delivery of camera gear that the staff misplaced and we couldn't use. Which jeapodized my whole production. You get the same ripped off feeling you get when u pay 8 dollars for a bottle of water at the airport. Not coffee available before a certain time.

The restaurants are average at best. Got a salad at the ground floor cafe - 16$ and it was gross and wilted. A close friend used to work high up w Schrager and I used to associate quality with this brand. Now it's has the class of a guy fieri chain restaurant. Bridge and tunnel flock here to take selfies on the impressive escalators (that never seem To be working) and for the douchebag festival that happens on the roof every night where they charge Morons 300$ just to sit down at a table. Haha. This is only about profit- not service in the slightest. Anything u ask for us not available or self service. They should change the name to public toilet. Yuck.
