Had a 4 night stay in this great hotel. Superb staff who were so friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic with large portions. Room was nicely decorated and clean. There is a lovely large inside pool with 2 jacuzzi's, steam room, sauna and gym. Hotel is easy to find with plenty of parking. Would definitely come back here again.

Stayed at the La Villette Hotel whilst on a week's holiday in Guernsey mainly cycling around the Island. It's my 2nd time in Guernsey staying before in St Peter Port. Firstly the location. For me it's ideal never had any issues. It's very close to the Airport and directly on the flight path., But was more fun watchIng the flights than being an issue.
Large car parking area, also they have a few areas to leave cycles in the car park also. Well done It's a good hours walk into St Peter Port, or 10 minutes by car or bus. With in easy walking distance to the bays to the south on foot via nice quiet lanes, Route De Tranquil. Hotel looks nice from first impressions and continues once inside. Large reception area with all the usual tourist information leaflets and info. Rooms nice size, bed was extremely comfortable.
Best sleep I had all week. Didn't want to get up every morning. Nice en suite with bath. Always plenty of fairly hot water available. Although my heated towel rail didn't work. Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits in room, although cups were annoyingly small. Breakfast times 7.30 til 9. Was very quiet and plenty of choice of juices, cereals, fruits and cooked breakfast.
But they ran out of mushrooms after our first morning there. Also a shortage on Guernsey butter. Food very tasty and looked like maybe locally sourced. Evening meals there were very good. Had 4 meals at Hotel Restaurant. Their Chicken Curry really good also the Black Forrest for desert. The staff were very friendly and professional. Can I just say a huge thank you to the young lad who was on shifts during a few evenings and mornings.
Really friendly. And also the very busy and slightly stressed Dutch lady that seemed to be working everyday, everywhere and all the time. She was definitely being overworked. She's a credit to to the Hotel. Thank you I personally would recommend La Villette Hotel. If your arriving with your car then it's absolutely perfect.

Really disappointing food (side salad was one lettuce leaf, one slice of cucumber and quarter of a tomato, and other food though better in quantity was mediocre) and atmosphere was awkward. Service was friendly (hence two stars rather than one) but could not recommend. Much better places locally, avoid.
