Went to the Bell Hotel as they were still serving food at late afternoon (4-430pm). I chose a steak cooked to medium rare and my wife chose a burger. Both meals were presented well and were cooked in a timely (not rushed nor too long) manner. Taste wise, both meals were full of flavour, tender and suitably filling. Service was friendly and attentive. We didn't stay in a room as we only popped in for dinner, so I can't comment what it's like to stay overnight in the hotel. If the restaurant part was anything to go by, I would imagine it's a good night to be had there.

From the set menu for large bookings, I had prawns with mango and chilli to start, roast beef for main and brownie for dessert. The starter and dessert were lovely, however the beef was a bit tough. The staff were very good on the night though, we had a party of 60+ people and it ran smoothly from start to finish which was much appreciated by all, thank you.

Came here for dinner. A great Steak sandwich with Fries & Slaw with Tea as we were driving. The Steak was tender and succulent and very tasty. Also a small Fish & Chips which was fresh and tasty.

A Classic staple of the old center of Sandwich. Great atmosphere, good staff, the restaurant stands on its own and all in all my favorite place to stay in the area. Sandwich isn't that big of course, but Bell Hotel accomedates very well and know the surroundings well.

Great hotel! Really should be four star. Food is really excellent, especially the breakfast! Attentive staff who always have a welcoming smile. It is right by the river which offfers up great walks, especially to sandwich beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there and would highly recommend it.
