We have a great team here at Grassington House, with people who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. Our guests enjoy a relaxed and informal stay whilst they are here, but behind the scenes is a well-oiled and hardworking team, ensuring that every detail is catered for. Owners John and Sue Rudden are devoted to Grassington House, falling in love with the characterful Georgian building back in 2008.

Owner and chef John Rudden and his team prepare award-winning dishes, which focus on locally sourced and seasonally inspired ingredients, done the 'Grassington House way' - traditional luxury with a modern and eclectic twist. A regular AA Chef of the Year, John brings his state of the art kitchen to life, creating everything from traditional Sunday roast that features 14-hour slow roasted beef, to a fine dining gourmet dinner over five courses.

Grassington House Hotel is an elegantly built Georgian house, looking over the cobbled Grassington village square, it is one of Grassington's most notable buildings first established in 1750 as a private residence, later converted in early 1900's into a hotel, it has been lovingly restored by Sue & John Rudden whilst retaining many of its fine heritage features, but with a thoughtful Grassington House twist.

Whilst we are all about rest and relaxation, there's never a dull day at Grassington House, and we regularly prepare engaging events for our guests and the local Grassington community to enjoy. Whether it's a tasting here in the restaurant, a guest chef or an event out and about such as the Grassington Food and Drink Festival, a key part of the community here, we keep it interesting and get as involved as we possibly can. It is the turn of hard-working Dads to take the limelight, and we have a feast in store this Father's Day.
