We are a privately owned and run hotel that prides ourselves on offering great accommodation, welcome and service, perfectly located in the heart of Lyndhurst and the new forest. We are within easy reach of the national park, many top visitor attractions as well as the seaside towns of Bournemouth, Southampton and of course Portsmouth and the Docks. All our rooms are very comfortably decorated, and we also have two 3 bedroom cottages located on site which are ideal for groups of friends or larger families.

The Penny Farthing Hotel and has evolved from two Victorian houses having had many additions over the years and each room is individual in size and style some large, some smaller. Our 2 3 bed cottages offer a perfect private retreat for larger groups and can be booked on a self-catering basis or all guests are welcome to join us in the hotel dining room for complimentary breakfast. All rooms have en-suite facilities, digital TV, tea/coffee tray and free Wifi.

Lyndhurst is in the centre of the New Forest, a small rural village developed in the 19th century. The High Street today has a charming selection of shops offering gifts, antiques, butchers, bakers, and "Budgens Supermarket". The New Forest Visitor Centre and Museum is situated in the public car park just off the High Street.
