My room was like a cell on the top floor with a rickety single bed, awful mattress and NO TOILET, only a semi working shower in a cupboard. Do not be misled by the pictures like I was. AWFUL.

Booking in was quick and friendly, my single room was clean and comfortable. The en suite shower and toilet was clean and everything worked fine. This was just a flying visit to London for a concert, and this hotel was everything I needed. The only negative was that I couldn't get the TV to work, but I didn't need it, and their internet was free. This was my first time here, but I'd happily use it again.

My second stay at Kensington Gardens Hotel, albeit with a 7 year gap. I returned as I was so impressed with my stay back in 2013. My room was once again clean and comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The buffet breakfast has a large variety and the service is well received. Pro tip for future travellers: stay next door at the Phoenix Hotel. They are connected and therefore you will receive the same exceptional service however won't need to walk outside before having breakfast.
