Thought for the price of beers and larger good have been better. One male member of staff ignored people at the bar and served who he wanted. Would have been 5 stars

Stay away. horrible food. I decided to take my family today for Sunday Lunch, we arrived the staff seemed ok, nice place overall, the problem was with the food, the veg was uncooked, literally uncooked. the gravy was like water, mashed potatoes cold, the cheese sauce (I think it was anyway?) tasted of nothing and again was like water, I raised the concern with a staff member, she offered to refund me on of the kids meals, unsure how this makes up for a terrible meal?
I refused as it was not about money it was a family lunch ruined. this place will see its customers leave, think it's just a wedding venue more than anything. Very poor food.wish I could give it - points

First class venue, for a family wedding we attended. Staff were always helpful and went that extra mile when necessary to make the whole experience as good as it could possibly be. The food was exceptional. The rooms were clean, tidy and well maintained.

We've been to Kings Croft for many different reasons, from our daughters wedding, tribute nights, Christmas lunches as well as ordinary lunches and it never fails to impress. The quality of the rooms, friendliness of the staff and quality of food and drink. Sean, the owner is great, always welcoming and friendly. Can't recommend highly enough.

We went to a private function at the King's Croft Hotel recently. Very impressed with the grade 2 listed building, looking splendid in it's own grounds. The pie and peas supper laid on was excellent with great service and generous portions. Looks like a wonderful wedding venue as the photos near reception clearly testify. A touch of class, and conveniently located. Recommended.

A group of us went to dinner on Wednesday night at 7 pm. We were told that we had to wait to be served for another 15 minutes, when then waitress came, I ordered a lasagne, only to be told, oh, we only serve them on a Thursday. I asked where on the menu that it stated this and I was told, it's a special service menu just for that day. Then I'm sorry but you need to word your menus more precisely.
Out of principle I got up and walked out. I'm not being told that I'm a silly person for not looking at the menu. We all agreed that it was worded wrong. This is one person and my friends who will not be returning again. His arrogance holds no bounds. Didn't seem bothered that what we were trying to say was correct.,
