We arrived on a stormy evening on Sunday 6 February, reception were genuinely pleased to see us, booked for 7pm and straight to a table. The staff were friendly and very helpful on menu choices, the black pudding in mash was soo good, great selection of wine, the panacotta with rhubarb topping with oat biscuit was delicious, would we dine there again, you bet, we would!

Rather poor had week notice of a celebration did not acknowledge the booking and service was amature and food were at best dissapointing would not recommend despite a rather good building cannot cannot yet find anything good to shoutabout in any restaurant in york that is worthy to say best stay at home save money and effort

Nice food in a good restaurant in a lovely hotel. John Barry's home so music-themed. No complaints, except maybe more onion in the gravy for the Yorkshire Pudding starter. Good service. All in good.
