A huge regret paying the price to stay in an outbuilding! We booked a family room at 160 for one night. We knew that it's Jubilee weekend and we were fully aware that the hotel is a historical building. However, we were so shocked when we were directed to our room which was an outbuilding of the hotel, right next to the gate, busy road and cars by other guests. This is not a proper hotel room that any guest would expect at this price. I was not able to sleep the entire night as I didn't feel safe in an outbuilding like this. The breakfast was not great either. What a disappointment to offer continental breakfast only.

Great hotel in a wonderful location near everything you need to visit when in Canterbury. The room was very comfortable with good facilities and the staff very friendly. The price was good, my only gripe is I'm not a fan of continental breakfast.

What a lovely hotel (dating back to 1847). It even has a free carpark. So easy to walk into Central Canterbury. We had a most enjoyable stay.
